hmm
just quietly…i’m not dead and i’m not no longer blogging…it’s just that…well dagnamit…it’s difficult to find a room mate who isn’t suddenly sent to a foreign country by their boss and will help me justify an ADSL line at home!
rock out with your…well…
lego embezzlement
i was thinking of a future where lego is a currency. it’s functional, it’s compact, and everyone knows it’s expensive. which makes me think that if i was to work on a lego line i’d be ‘walking out with the factory, one brick at a time’. i like that image.
there’s been a lot of time passed and not a lot of sleep experienced, which is an equation which has a bell curve displacement of an ideal bandwidth that i am well and truly on the short side of.
not to worry…i think
neeeeeed sleep!
congrats to andy on the birth of the first kid, and best wishes to babs and her soon-to-be bub. evidently people i know having children freaks me out much much less than the knowledge that people i know are getting married. i’m not quite sure how that works exactly, but then again maybe i’m just not supposed to.
g’night!
always a wingman, never the flight leader
just been out boozing with the bro after watching him play his first game of premier rugby. so stoked, so impressed by how bloody good he is at the game. wh00t. spent the other half of the day in self created darkness to do some recording. gawd, i definately love music. i don’t necessarily want to be the next U2, but i hope that i write music for the rest of my life.
air ports without connections
i’m on a roll…the cabbie would say i’m blessed, not lucky because luck is a derivative of ‘lucifer’ which means to praise luck is to pay hommage to the dark lord himself.
that sounds a little too heavy…i’ll go with blessed. for now.
my flight was cancelled. the flight i was transferred was cancelled. normally i would find this annoying, except today i found all this out whilst still in the comfort of my own home. is there anything the interweb can’t do?
so yep. in the airport again. heading to sydney again. got an exam.
jammed it up with dave & jaymis on the weekend…i’m not sure if it was part of the carbon based robots side project or not, but i’m willing to hope good things.
last night i saw indiana jones. it was scary. as in kitch. the good thing was the pre movie cold rock experience. peanut butter icecream with cookie dough and strawberry freddo. spectacular. i whole-heartedly recommend it.
right. that’s enough for now. nice to be blogging again. ![]()
oh, it burns!
it’s quite amazing what one can achieve with a little house-bound dementia and some old ikea packaging…
agnew st
i’ve had two days off…the weekend. two days off with plenty (?) of sleep and i’m still shattered.
spent all week in syd-nay working and working and working…what’s the fun of having a posh hotel room in darling harbour if you spend all your time cubicle-bound in the crappy industrial outskirts?
now just regrouping on a sunday night trying to work out where the fuck the weekend went…where did you go? i have no idea whatsoever how i’m going to pull it all back together in time for work tomorrow!
got back in the water this weekend after missing out last week…very small swell but well received! ![]()
other weekend activities included a bit of a do in the valley last night, a bit of pool with the boys on friday and some other altogether unusual experiences involving hospital gowns. such is the weekend.
meh.
sea monkeys!
i’ve caught public transport all my life, but it’s not until i step into an airport that i ever actually feel like a herding ant or dumb robot drone. there’s something inherantly spooky to me about hundreds of completely unrelated people convening in one common location to walk two-file down a blank corridor into a giant plastic cylinder that is subsequently jettisoned beyond the horizon.
do all the tubes reach there destination? is mine the only real flight? and just how do they expect me to believe the so called ‘crash position’?
i’m not sure they have the answers for me.
oop, flight boarding…wish me luck!
bass-ackwards in oh eight
